Do you have call-out charges?
The rates are as follows:
1st Hour = £40.00
Subsequent hours = £25.00 per hour
The rates above includes a wide range of fixings, sealants, glues, connectors and fuses etc. If more expensive materials are required these will be discussed and confirmed with you before commencing.
NOTE: These rates only apply when a quotation has not been agreed previously. This usually being emergency and same day call-outs.


Are you 'part p' registered?
Yes. I am registered as a Full Scope Electrical Contractor under the NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers) scheme. 
Using a 'Part P' registered contractor means I can certify all electrical works and NAPIT will send the relevant building notification to your local authority.

What is an E.I.C.R?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report is a report that details all non-compliances with BS7671 (the IEE Wiring Regulations).
For a typical house a EICR would normally take 4-5 hours to carry out all on-site inspections and installation testing, and 1-2 hours to complete the relevant paperwork. A EICR will typically go into great detail regarding an installation.
The report that you will receive will clearly show what actions (if any) are required to ensure the electrical system is safe and serviceable for continued use.

Visual Condition Report
I also carry out the simpler  Domestic Visual Condition Report, these are often requested prior to purchasing a home, and culminate in a short report highlighting findings and recommendations.
As the title suggests these reports are visual inspections. I do, however, routinely test the integrity of the Main Earth and carry out random Zs tests and test RCD's whilst carrying out these inspections.
This type of report, whilst useful, is no substitute for a full EICR being carried out.

How can I pay?
Cheque, Cash or Bank Transfer are fine.

What are your working hours?
I generally work between 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and very occasionally on a Saturday. I am also available for emergency callouts outside these hours.

What are the terms of the guarantee?
I guarantee my work for a period of 12 months from the date of the relevant invoice. If any aspect of the work is not to your satisfaction please contact me. I strive to ensure my workmanship is high quality.
NOTE: All electrical Installation work carries a 6 year government endorsed guarantee via the Trustmark scheme.
